ENTER - execute a command
- Syntax:
- enter [CUA]
- Description:
- The ENTER command executes the command currently displayed on the command line, if the cursor is currently displayed there. If the key associated with ENTER is pressed while in the filearea , then the cursor will move to the first column of the next line. If the cursor is in the prefix area , any pending prefix commands will be executed. If the mode is currently in 'insert' , then a new line is added and the cursor placed on the next line depending on the value of SET NEWLINES .
- This command can only be used by assigning it to a function key with the DEFINE command.
- With the optional CUA argument, when in the FILEAREA , the enter command acts like the SPLIT command.
- This command will be removed in a future version.
