The Strip function returns a string with space characters removed from the front, back, or both ends. Intervening space characters between words are retained. Another character can be removed instead.
result = Strip( string [, [ option ] [, character ] ] ) |
Examples:
say Strip( '007', 'L', '0' ) -- shows: 7 -- leading zeroes are removed say Strip( ' both ends need to be shaved ', 'B' ) -- shows: 'both ends need to be shaved' say Strip( '42.0000', 'T', '0' ) -- shows: 42. -- trailing zeroes are removed (but not the decimal point!) say Strip( ' both ends need to be shaved, again ' ) -- 'shows: both ends need to be shaved, again' |
