Sourceline   built-in function

The Sourceline function returns a specific Rexx program source line, or the number of source lines in the current program.

result = Sourceline( [ line# ] )

line#

an optional source line number. When specified, line# must be a positive whole number. When the value is 1, the first source line is returned. When the value exceeds the number of source lines available, the empty string is returned.

When this argument is omitted, the number of available source lines is returned.

Examples: say Sourceline() -- shows: number of source lines available say Sourceline( 5 ) -- shows: the text of the 5th source line.
