Tomato Soup
4 c. milk
1 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. onion, minced
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 quart or 1 large can tomatoes
In a skillet, cook onion in butter.
Add milk, heat to just scalding point
but do not boil.
Add baking soda, salt, tomatoes, and pepper.
Heat again, but do not boil.
