FRENCH DRESSING
Makes 1 1/2 cups

1/4 cup water
1/4 cup vinegar -- red wine and/or balsamic
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/2 lemon, juiced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
3/4 teaspoon dry mustard
1 garlic clove, minced
3/4 cup olive oil

Combine all in a lidded jar. Shake vigorously.
