X 6.1.6.6.1 Date Fields in Sign Conditions
X The operand in a sign condition can be a date field, but is treated as a
X non-date for the sign condition test. Thus, if the operand is an
X identifier of a windowed date field, date windowing is not done, so the
X sign condition may be used to test a windowed date field for an all-zero
X value.
X However, if the operand is an arithmetic expression, then any windowed
X date fields in the expression will be expanded during the computation of
X the arithmetic result, prior to using the result for the sign condition
X test.
X For example, given that:
- X Identifier WIN-DATE is defined as a windowed date field, and contains
X a value of zero
- X Compiler option DATEPROC is in effect
- X Compiler option YEARWINDOW(starting-year) is in effect, with a
X starting-year other than 1900
X then this sign condition would evaluate to true:
X WIN-DATE IS ZERO
X whereas this sign condition would evaluate to false:
X WIN-DATE + 0 IS ZERO
