X 6.1.6.5.5 Comparison of DBCS Operands
X The rules for comparing DBCS operands are the same as those for the
X comparison of nonnumeric operands.
X >_Host_> Under OS/390 and VM, the comparison is based on a binary
X collating sequence of the hexadecimal values of the DBCS characters.
X <_Host_<
X >_Workstation_> Under AIX, OS/2, and Windows if the collating sequence
X specified is NATIVE (explicitly or by default), the comparisons of
X characters are based on the collating sequence indicated by the locale
X setting. For more information on locale, see Appendix F, "Locale
X Considerations (Workstation Only)" in topic APPENDIX1.6. <_Workstation_<
X Note: The PROGRAM COLLATING SEQUENCE clause will not be applied to
X comparisons of DBCS operands.
